The New American Dream Foundation recently hosted the 10th Annual American Dream Awards Gala at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, CT on September 27, 2024.
The Gala was themed "A Night in Brazil in the USA" and paid homage to the cultural heritage of the organization's founders while showcasing the strength and diversity of the community. The event included the American Dream Awards ceremony, a welcome speech by U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, and highlighted the community impact The New American Dream Foundation (TNADF) has had over the past decade.
Ventura Law, the presenting sponsor, made a $15,000 gift to the American Dream Scholarship fund and will present one $3,000 scholarship every year for the next five years in memory of its founder, Americo S. Ventura. The Danbury Lions Club charities also made a $4,000 donation towards TNADF's Senior Hot Meal Program.
The 2024 honorees included: Lifetime Achievement Award: Dr. Ana Paula Machado, Rising Star Award: Mayor Roberto Alves, Community Hero Award: The Center for Empowerment and Education (CEE).
