2025 Teen Safe Driving Video Contest Awards Up to $26,000 in Prizes

Gov. Ned Lamont has announced that teenage students and high schools in Connecticut can win up to $26,000 in prizes by participating in the state’s 16th annual Teen Safe Driving Video Contest, organized by the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and Travelers.

The contest invites teens to create video public service announcements (PSAs) with engaging messages encouraging their peers to practice safe driving whenever they get behind the wheel. It is open to all public, private, and home-schooled high school students in Connecticut aged 14 to 18. Participants must produce a creative, unique, and effective video PSA for no longer than 45 seconds. The video should highlight interactions between drivers and other teens while illustrating ways to adopt safer driving habits per Connecticut’s teen driving laws. Additionally, the videos must address at least one specific teen driving law in Connecticut.

This year, Travelers has increased the number of prizes available, offering up to $26,000 in cash and other prizes for the winning students and their high schools.
