It was a windy morning, but that did not prevent dignitaries and community members from coming out and partaking in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new International House of Pancakes, a.k.a. IHOP, in Danbury.
“It is a great honor to have this IHOP open here in Danbury. It is official today, and it’s going to be a great success,” said Mayor Dean Esposito, accompanied by first lady Sharon and local dignitaries John Esposito, Michael Coelho, and Farley Santos.
IHOP is ready to serve our Greater Danbury fans with a diverse food menu in a fast-casual environment and at a reasonable price. Its world-famous buttermilk pancakes, hand-made Belgian waffles, French Toast, and crepes are prepared to order and served by a friendly multilingual staff.
But make no mistake, pancakes are its specialty, but IHOP also offers a wide variety of lunch and dinner items such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, burritos, salads, and bowls. Gluten-free customers have not been forgotten. There is a whole menu of originals just for them.
IHOP Danbury is the second franchise owned by Kbailey, LLC Restaurant, which opened its first IHOP restaurant in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 2018.
According to Syed A. Raza, Danbury IHOP Director of Operations, the new location has a capacity of 185 customers. “The second floor will be fully operating in about a month, with a private room where community gatherings, meetings, and special occasion celebrations can be hosted with catering services provided by IHOP.”
There is plenty of parking, and the new facility offers a “Pick Up Order” location on the side of the building for customers that prefer to-go orders. So, stack up your appetite and bring family and friends to experience the new IHOP restaurant in Danbury.
The Danbury IHOP is located at 32 Newtown Road, with operating hours Monday – Sunday from 7 am to 10 pm.
