The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow an open discussion of any views and comments concerning the proposed improvements. A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation.

The replacement of traffic control signals will modernize aging infrastructure to current standards, maintaining reliable operation and improving safety at various intersections throughout Northwestern Connecticut.

Right-of-way impacts are expected to be minimal around new signal equipment and newly installed sidewalks at some project intersections.

Construction is expected to start summer 2027. The estimated cost is $14 million with 100% state funds.

The public can submit comments and questions during the two-week public comment period following the meeting. Please direct comments and questions by Monday, August 25, 2025, to DOTSignalReplacements@ct.gov or (860) 594-2189.
