This August, the Danbury Library is your go-to destination for free, family-friendly fun, learning, and creativity! With programs for children, teens, and adults, there's something for everyone to enjoy every day of the week.

Families can step into a magical world with our Life-Size Candyland Adventure, get moving with a Colorful Tales & Maypole Dance, and enjoy Felt Plushies Craft Time together. Kids can also explore nature through Animal Colors & Survival, learning how creatures use color to thrive.

Art lovers will enjoy hands-on workshops like Collage Decoupage Night, Watercolor Flowers, and Needle Felting for Teens—perfect for discovering new skills and creative expression.

Students heading into middle school can get a head start with Summer Project Help for Rising 6th Graders, offering academic support in a friendly setting.

Don’t miss the Magic & Comedy Show with Ed Popielarczyk, a laugh-out-loud event the whole family will love. Sports fans will enjoy the Yankees History Talk, highlighting the legendary team’s journey.

And throughout the month, families can enjoy Free Summer Lunch at the library—no registration needed.

Be part of the Stitching Stories Quilt Project, a community art experience where shared memories become a beautiful collaborative quilt.

All programs are free of charge, but space may be limited, so don't wait!
